Sunday August 23rd 2009
It was the official moving date for our church as we move from a gymnasium into a building! The children helped out with the loading of the truck. And I am always impressed with how willing they are to be helpful and what wonderful servants to Christ the young children in our church are. It is such an encouragement to all of us adults not to grow weary!
This week we are in the third part of the parable of the sower and we talked about the seed that fell among the thorns. We had a wonderful time digging into the bible and discussing what Jesus meant in this part of the parable. We also talked about how we spend our free time. We enjoyed looking at one of our days all written out on paper and seeing how much time we spend in certain areas. This was very helpful to see how we could be more purposeful with our time.

August Birthday's
The Month of August 2009
The next four weeks in Children's Church we will be digging into the parable of the sower and in the book of Matthew. We are taking a look at what kind of soil we are. Are we dry and rocky or are we the nice moist soil ready to receive Gods word. We will also be discussing how to study Gods word and apply it to our lives.
Mat 13:23 But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

Sunday August 2nd 2009
This Sunday we talked about worship and singing Praise to God, and how we can focus on HIM this way and enjoy His presence! We also talked about our choices in music, and if we thought our current music choices were pleasing to God. We enjoyed some pizza during church and celebrated giving thanks to God for the wonderful bake sale and all the blessings we received! "Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow." James 1:17
